Vibram FiveFingers.

These are by far the best pair of shoe I have ever purchased.  I got them about a year after first seeing them.  You get a lot of looks in public, and I always seem to get the same question of , "Are they comfortable?"  Yes they are, and most people think they are water shoes, which they aren't.  You could use them for that need if you wanted to but the are mainly, for me at least, running shoes.  I recommend the KSOs.  If you have up to $100 dollars to spend on shoes, you should definitely get a pair.  You can look into them VFFs here: vibramfivefingers.com

On a side note, I broke my foot in these playing soccer, but then again I am a teenager.  I would still recommend these shoes though, just not for soccer.  Also, when running, be careful not to drag your toes because they will tear.  It happened to me twice, but the store I bought them from was nice enough to replace them for me.

FaceTime vs. Skype.

I don't like FaceTime.  I love apple and what it puts out, but I really don't like FaceTime.  I only use it because my friends don't use Skype.  Even if Skype is a product of Microsoft, I still prefer it to FaceTime.  The interface for Skype (at least on Macs), is very good and is better than FaceTimes interface.  The other problem I have with FaceTime is it isn't cross-platform.  I can only use FaceTime with other people on Apple devices, and those of which i use it with use it on iPod touches or iPads.  That means for me, I get bad quality video from there end of the "call".  Skype is completely different.  It is cross-platform and has a better "feel" to it.  I especially don't like ooVoo, though.  I never got into that fad and didn't like how people posted screenshots to their Facebook account.  FaceTime and ooVoo are just lesser versions of Skype.

Cubing.

Cubing is a pretty nerdy thing.  If you don't know what cubing is, is pretty much just being able to solve a Rubik's Cube or a related puzzle.  I personally find it fun to cube and think it's a good thing to take up as a hobby.  The only problem with it is that it is an expensive hobby if you really ge into it.  People invest thousands of dollars into there puzzles.  Other than that, cubing is a really great activity to try.  Yes, it does aggravate people and you do get a lot of looks and comments in public but its worth a try.  If you want to learn how to solve the standard 3x3 then go check out youtube.com/monkeydude1313 or youtube.com/memyselfandpi.  If you want some puzzles, go and check out mefferts.com or Cube Depot.  Now go get cubing!

Minecraft 1.7

Today was the day that Minecraft finally received piston.  It has been long awaited.  This is great and all but I would have rather seen an update with more features.  The adventure update is now pushed back to 1.8 and Notch has said it will be a while until that comes out.  But i can't really complain.  Pistons are a welcomed edition to the Minecraft vanilla.  Now our attention is shifted to the next update, 1.8, with Adventure mode and hopefully the "sky realm".

If you are a nerd and you haven't already seen this, you will definitely like this: youtube.com/vlogbrothers

Web Browsers.

So I like to use Google Chrome as my main browser.  My grandmother, who isn't very tech savvy, had no idea there were other web browsers other than the one she uses, Safari.  I had to show that there are other options and why people would prefer those options over the default that come with your operating system.  But if you think about it, why would she need to understand this.  It's not that important and it doesn't even matter.  Safari does what she wants and that is what is useful to her.  Also, people of her generation didn't grow up with computers and the technology we have today.  It is new to them.

A Google A Day.

I noticed while on my Google homepage that there was a question.  I clicked on it and it brought me to a website, agoogleaday.com.  Just another reason why Google is badass!  Google FTW.

P.S. The answer for today is 9 furlongs.
